Turkey Day!

So if you are an American happily spending this day munching away on turkey and delicious holiday food, and spending time with your loved ones, then you are obviously are celebrating the wonderful day of Thanksgiving (one of my favorite holidays!). However I feel that everyone, myself included, kind of forgets a big part of this day. After all it is THANKSgiving, not just turkey day. Sure, when we go around the table saying what we're thankful for, we'll say we're thankful for the food, family, and friends, or things along that line. I just wanted to take the time and write it down, what I am especially and extremely thankful for this year.

FAMILY
I am so so lucky to be surrounded by a family, that except for a few relatives, that loves me and supports me through pretty much anything. After all, if I wanted to be a stripper, I'm pretty sure they'd say hell no. We've gone through some extremely hard times together and I wouldn't have it any other way.

FRIENDS
Okay, so I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the most social person and that I'm extremely fine spending time by myself, but I truly do love my friends. From the ones that have been there for me for years (Sarah, chica, I'm talking about you and I love and miss you!), to the ones I've recently met and am starting to get to know (heyyy Erica lol), I'm so glad that you're there for me to talk to and pretend like I'm not a loner. Okay, not a total loner

MY LIFE
Okay so I'm gonna be kinda sappy here and just quickly say that I am extremely grateful for the roof over my head, the food I eat, the clothes on my back, and the education I have. Not everyone has these things, and I feel terrible for taking advantage of it all the time.

MILITARY
Being a military brat, I am extremely aware of how under appreciated these men and women, as well as their families, are. They are fighting with their lives for us and our freedom, and I feel that people don't realize that they don't make every executive decision for the military as a whole. People, especially the ignorant generation we have now, think that the military is something to abuse us and that is just wasting our money. They don't think of them as people, as that's what they are. I've heard my dad, a Marine, cry and be afraid. You CANNOT tell me that that isn't human. So THANK YOU SO MUCH to all those who fight for us, their families, and especially those that were unfortunate enough to not make it home, whether they have lost their lives or be prisoners of war. I am truly grateful.

So to keep this from going on much longer, I'm going to stop here. This is one of those days each year where I kind of stop and think, holy sh*t. I'm truly lucky for so many things and I don't even realize it. Well I hope you all had a wonderful day and realize just how blessed we all are for so many things.

Number of times I said extremely- 5

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post! Once again my 'follow this blog' thing isn't working so just send me an email at littlebitrecklessblog@gmail.com if you want to know when I update until it works. I will see you all again very very soon!

What I Hate About School

Okay, so I know that almost every teenager in the world hates school, and for many different reasons at that. I just really wanted to rant for a bit about the stupidity that can be school.

1. SLOW WALKING PEOPLE
This is one thing that just bugs the HECK out of me, especially when trying to get to class on time, or pass through an area where everyone just seems to be having a conversation. They'll walk super slow and talk the whole time, then see a friend going the opposite way, and stop in the middle of the hallway blocking everyone. How I deal with it? I either grit my teeth and deal with it, or there have been times where I've just forced my way through.
2. HOURS OF HOMEWORK
So I understand the point of high school is to get us ready for college, but I sometimes wonder if teachers actually realize that we have 7 class periods; not just theirs. And yes I understand that I have a higher workload because I'm in advanced classes, I really do! It's just that having TWO HOURS of AP English, an hour of pre-calculus, some Spanish, Chemistry, and a massive project in Mythology doesn't really fit into my schedule! And they wonder why we stress so much?! How do I deal with this? Well I usually procrastinate because I'm so stressed and then extremely stress over it and do it. Or sometimes I'll do it in my free class or as soon as I get home from school so that I just don't have to worry about it.
3. IDIOTS
Now, these people come in many forms. You may be familiar with the 'I'm so cool' idiot, who is "swaggy" or who just is freaking conceited and always talks in class when you're actually trying to pay attention so you can pass the class. Or you may be familiar with the group of idiots who are besties in class, so when there is a class discussion, no one else can talk because they're talking to each other, not the class, and heaven forbid you "interrupt their conversation". Sometimes idiots come in the form of smartalecs, or that one annoying kid who knows he's extremely wrong but will still yell his answer over the rest of the class. How do I deal with these different groups of idiots? Just by remembering that I don't know who they are, or what their back story is. And by gritting my teeth.

There are SOO many more annoying things about school but these are just 3 of the biggest things I decided to address right now. No one may be reading this, or several of you are, but seriously, comment if you agree because I can't be the only one, can I?

I hope you enjoyed this little rant and agreed with me! If you want to follow my blog you can do so over to the right! Or you can check out my other social media at the top of the right sidebar, such as my Insta, Twitter, Tumblr, and YouTube!

Hope to see y'all again very soon!

Cold Night Fun

Winter nights are just about here, or at least cold nights are, and I absolutely love them! To me there's nothing greater in winter than snuggling up under a blanket in your coziest clothes and watching a movie with a hot cocoa.

On a typical winter night I'll sit on the couch wrapped in a blanket while wearing my pajamas, watching a movie, and doing things on my laptop, whether it's watching my YouTubers, going through my facebook and tumblr, or writing. It's always been an extremely relaxing time for me, especially if I had a hard day at school or had a ton of work that I needed to get done. Taking the time to sit down and take a nap, or enjoy a warm drink, or even just watch tv, can really make a difference if you're feeling stressed.

On that note I'd like to quickly say that sometimes when you're feeling really stressed, taking a step back for a breather can really help. It's okay if you miss that one homework assignment because you simply can't do it, or if that chore you needed to get done just has to wait for tomorrow. No one is perfect, and you're allowed to make mistakes or wait a little bit. I wouldn't really call this procrastinating because you're not avoiding the work, you're simply taking a break from the things on your 'To Do' list. So just take a step back if that's what you need.

If you enjoyed this post and would like to see when I update next then just go ahead and follow this blog over to the side here somewhere ------------------>

I will see you all again very VERY soon!
